Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), chief Altaf Hussain has called for eradication of terrorism and extremism to transform Pakistan according to the principles of Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Altaf Hussain, in his message issued by the MQM on the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, said that the Quaid-e-Azam was averse to all forms of religious extremism and wanted to establish a system in Pakistan based upon religious harmony and social justice.

He said that the Quaid-e-Azam foresaw a Pakistan in which every citizen, including the minorities, had equal rights. He said that the MQM wanted to cleanse Pakistan of religious extremism and all forms of religious prejudices so that every citizen in Pakistan enjoyed equal rights.
